The Somali Student’s Association (SSA) at the University of Ottawa is a representative body of Somali Students on campus. The SSA is committed to establishing strong ties with various cultural-oriented clubs, Somali students’ and the general student body in the University of Ottawa. The SSA also holds near and dear the interests of the Somali community in Ottawa, Canada and abroad. The SSA’s intention is to promote the spread of Somali culture and heritage on university grounds by encouraging students to participate in charity, social and cultural gatherings.
